Unit Games Start Page

Unit 430 runs twelve Unit Championship Games each year.  They are usually held on the first Saturday evening of each calendar month, and are pairs games except for team games in February, June, and October.  The games are stratified, with Flight B under 2000 and Flight C under 750.  Strats are based on the average masterpoint holding of a pair or team.  The site for 2012 is again the Vancouver Bridge Centre and the start time is 7:00 pm (changed from 7:30 pm).  Bruce McIntyre is the Monthly Unit Game Director.  Entry fees are $10.00 per player with a one-dollar discount if you attended the previous game (but everyone pays the discounted rate in the first game each year).  Starting in March 2012, a new non-Life Master section has been added, needing six pairs to run separately.  The game always features preduplicated hands and hand records, even for team games.  Results from the games are posted first at the VBC site, then later on Matchpointer Online.
